CALA's Excellence in Service Awards

Are there individuals in your company or community that you feel are worthy of recognition for their dedication to providing outstanding care, service or leadership? Here’s your chance to let us know about these outstanding individuals! We are pleased to announce the Call for Nominations for CALA’s Excellence in Service Awards, which will recognize an exceptional caregiver, team member, department director, and executive director at the 2012 CALA Spring Conference. CALA members are encouraged to submit nominations for those who fit the criteria below.The deadline for submitting a nomination is January 27, 2012. The Call for Nominations for the Fall (to take place in southern CA) will be announced in May, 2012.

Categories:

Outstanding Caregiver - This award shall be presented to an exceptional caregiver that has provided outstanding care and demonstrated through words and deeds an excellent commitment to those entrusted to his/her care.

Outstanding Team Member - This award shall be presented to an exceptional team member that has provided outstanding service and demonstrated through words and deeds a strong commitment to the residents and community. Non-caregiver, non-salaried employees from all departments are eligible for this award.

Outstanding Department Director - This award shall be presented to an exceptional department director that has demonstrated through words and deeds outstanding leadership, as well as a team approach and a strong commitment to the residents and community.

Outstanding Executive Director - This award shall be presented to an exceptional Executive Director whose dedicated leadership and outstanding service demonstrate through words and deeds a strong commitment to the residents and community.

Award Highlights:

The honorees will be announced and recognized at CALA’s 2012 Spring Conference in Santa Clara and will be featured on the CALA website and in the CALA News & Views. A press release and picture will be provided to the award winner’s Assisted Living company and community.

Members of the California Assisted Living Association (CALA) are committed to providing residents with quality care and quality of life. CALA’s Excellence in Service Awards recognize those individuals whose service results in enhanced quality of care and quality of life for Assisted Living residents in California. Selected nominations may be archived and available for on-site review at CALA events. Award recipients will be discussed at CALA events, in the CALA News & Views, and on the CALA website.
