Outstanding Caregiver – Hilda Van Boom

Hilda Van Boom has been a caregiver at The Arbors at Rancho Pensaquitos in San Diego for ten years. She is described as “hard working, pleasant and positive to everyone. She takes great pride in her work and it shows.” She’s often found coaching other employees on the fine art of respecting residents in every way. As she so simply and eloquently states, “I always put the residents’ needs at the top of my list. I just want them to be safe and happy.”

Elvira Rodriguez has served as a laundry attendant at Emeritus at Chatsworth for the past 28 years. That’s right – 28 years! While her longevity alone speaks of her dedication, the fact that in all those years she’s never missed a day or been late to work once, speaks volumes. She is described as “the ideal employee with an impeccable track record”.

Outstanding Executive Director – Vicki Markley

Vicki Markley has served as the Executive Director at Canyon Hills Club in Anaheim for the past six years. Her tenure in Assisted Living spans a total of eighteen years. She is described as “one of the most dedicated Executive Directors that Encore Senior Living employs. She’s an encouraging and interactive manager who recognizes the strengths of her employees. Her compassion and integrity sets the standard and tone for all to strive for.”
