The Administrator will provide leadership and overall management of the facility and is responsible for maintaining superior level of service and care to residents. Scope of responsibility includes operations, staffing, finance and marketing under the general supervision of Dominican Hospital.

Qualifications: Knowledge of and/or ability to learn federal, state and local regulations pertaining to the operation of a congregate/assisted living community. Have or qualified to obtain California Residential Care for the Elderly Certification.

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred.
• Skill in use of computers, internet, software applications including MS Word and MS Excel.
• At least three years experience providing residential care to seniors. A minimum of two years of college or equivalent education and experience.

We are seeking an Assisted Living & Special Needs Director for the Gables of Ojai. Candidate should be able to manage a team of caregivers and provide quality care to our residents, that is consistent with our reputation and training.

Responsibilities include: Supervision and training of all AL staff; direction and monitoring of medications as deemed appropriate for assisted living; review medication orders, supplies, safekeeping and documentation in accordance with AL regulations and requirements; conduct assessments; review med orders, supervise implementation of resident service and care plans; inform physician of changes in condition and needs of residents as necessary; work with third party providers and interface with families.

Requirements: TB test, must clear criminal background check, drug screening and abuse registry.
