The CALA PAC will support
candidates and officeholders who:
- recognize the value of
assisted living;
- are committed to
preserving and promoting consumer choice; and
- recognize that the goal is
the right regulations, not the volume of regulations.
The Assisted
Living Profession needs your help! Your contribution will go a
long way toward preserving and promoting the assisted living
concept in California. Recently, there have been efforts to impose inflexible price controls, eliminate the “level of
care” model, require all units to be fully accessible
rather than adaptable, impose restrictive standards on
those with Alzheimer’s that could dramatically restrict
residents’ choice, independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Your contribution will enable CALA to actively support the
election and reelection of candidates who understand that such
proposals, while well-intentioned, are misguided and detrimental
to an assisted living fundamental – flexible and personalized
services.
- Corporations and individuals
- Employees
of contributing organizations can also contribute

individual contributions
The maximum
annual contribution per entity (corporation or individual) is
$6,000. Contributions are voluntary and are not tax deductible.
CALA recommends a $5.00 per unit contribution.
Your dues statement will include a line for this suggested
contribution, of course you may contribute more or less (subject
to contribution limits). Other opportunities to contribute
include special fundraising events at CALA Conferences. Special
recognition is granted to independent providers, multi-facility
corporations, individuals, and associate members who contribute
at specific levels. Please make checks payable to CALA PAC.
